True story \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tour guides in Porto and Douro Valley: What will you be doing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead small groups of people on private tours in Porto.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speak clearly and passionately about Porto, its history, culture and food.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have meaningful conversations with our guests about a wide range of topics, from Portuguese culture to international politics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help guests to make the most of their time in Northern Portugal (e.g.: give recommendations at the end of the tours, help them to book restaurants, etc).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help to collect TripAdvisor reviews from our guests at the end of the tours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who we are looking for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Simply put, we\u2019re looking for active, hard-working people who will&nbsp;<em>truly<\/em>&nbsp;enjoy getting to know our guests and delivering world-class service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Portoalities develops personalized tours in Porto and in the Douro Valley, so each of our tour is unique and extraordinary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For that same reason, we appreciate the diverse qualities and personality YOU bring to the table \u2013&nbsp;<strong>no tour guide is the same, like no client is the same!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It doesn\u2019t matter if you have studied tourism or not.<\/strong>&nbsp;In our ranks is a former Industrial engineer, a musician and a fashion designer \u2013 all of which bring their own personality and stories to our tours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you think you could fit on this group of hard working, colorful tour guides? Ring us a bell then! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Education and Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please do NOT apply if you do not meet these mandatory requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> you must live in Porto or its surroundings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>English proficiency<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decent availability<\/strong> during our peak season, March 1<sup>st<\/sup> \u2013 November 15<sup>th<\/sup>. And Yes, many times our tours take place during the weekends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong>\u00a0If you have a background in history or international relations, that would be great. If you don\u2019t have a degree but are, nonetheless, really passionate about these topics, that would be great as well!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Work experience:\u00a0<\/strong>No prior work experience is required, but if you have experience working as a tour guide for other tour companies, we would love to hear from you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you have what it takes?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Great!
