If the entire tour is cancelled more than 7 days in advance, then we will give 100% of the value of the tour.
If the entire tour is cancelled less than 7 days in advance, refunds will not be available.
If changes are made more than 7 days prior to the date of the original booking, there will be no extra charge.
The rebooked date must be within 12 months and subject to the availability of the tour provider (Portoalities Unipessoal Lda) and its third parties.
Portoalities’ tours operate in all weather conditions, except if a red warning (“aviso vermelho”) is issued by the IPMA (Portuguese weather institute). However, we reserve the right to alter or amend an itinerary if circumstances require, in order to make the tour as safe and pleasant as possible to our clients.
The situation is more complex if you book a tour for a group, and one or more people decide to cancel. The prices of our tours are calculated based on the number of participants, and the greater the number of participants, the lower the price per person. This is because fixed costs (guide, tolls, gasoline, etc.) are divided by the number of participants, so the smaller the number of participants, the greater the contribution of each participant.
Therefore, if one or more people decide to cancel, one of two possible scenarios could occur:
– if you cancel less than 7 days in advance of the tour’s date, there will be no refund.
– if you cancel 7 or more days in advance of the date of the tour, we will refund the money corresponding to the number of people canceled. However, the price per person for the remaining participants will go up, so it will have to be recalculated and the difference will have to be paid by the person responsible for the group.
