Here are the answers to your burning questions!
Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance of the tour. Our tours tend to sell out and we do not take walk-ups nor do we accept cash. This is because of the agreements we have in place with our local partners and with the insurance companies. Click on ‘Book a Tour’ on the right-hand sidebar of this webpage to purchase your tour - if a date is not available on the calendar, it means that it has sold out already.
Please note that if you are negotiating a tour with us by email, your vacancy will not be secured until the full payment of the tour is processed.
Everything that is included and not included on each tour is listed on the respective tour page.
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) have a dietary restriction or allergy when you purchase your tickets. On our full day tours (both in Porto and in Douro Valley) we can accommodate vegetarians, gluten or dairy intolerances.
However, if you have a severe food intolerance (for instance, to nuts) we cannot be held responsible for your safety. Therefore, in these rare cases we recommend our clients to bring their own food so that we avoid any trouble.
We are afraid not! We have fixed costs to cover on every single tour, and if we accepted solo travelers, the tours would become prohibitively for a solo person. However, if you really wish to join a tour, you have the option to pay for two people and book your tour this way.
This option is not for everyone though, because it will make your tour quite expensive. If you are unwilling to pay for two tickets, then we recommend you to look online for group tour operators.
We always welcome kids on our tours, however there are some tours that are more appropriate than others - and this information in available on the respective page of each tour. In any case, if you are traveling with children just let us know on the comment box that appears when you book the tour.
We also develop family tours in Douro Valley - contact us if you are interested!
We regret to inform you that our tours may not be suitable for individuals with severe mobility issues. Due to Porto's hilly terrain and uneven surfaces, it can be difficult for those with limited mobility to navigate comfortably. As we prioritize the safety and well-being of all of our clients, we do not have the necessary resources or expertise to accommodate such mobility issues. However, we encourage you to explore alternative tour companies or activities that may better suit your needs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
Restrooms are available during our tours, and our guides will gladly help you locate one if needed. Just let your guide know if you require a restroom break during the tour.
We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover), wire transfers, PayPal and Xoom. For more information, read our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
If you are unable to attend the tour, we offer full refunds if you provide us with the following notice in advance:
Please note that failure to provide sufficient notice may result in forfeiture of the tour fee. For more information or to request a refund, please contact us directly.
